Weekend Bus Washer Jobs

Pittsburgh Transportation Group is looking to fill the position of a part-time Weekend Bus Washer. The position will be responsible for the appearance of all fleet vehicles by detailing and maintaining the overall cleanliness and care of all interior and exterior vehicle components.

The shift for this position is Saturday & Sunday 6:00am - 6:00pm.

• Responsible for maintaining the inventory of cleaning products in wash bay.
• Assist in the install and removal of decals on vehicles, when needed.
• Responsible for buffing and detailing vehicles to enhance appearance.
• Perform the duties of washing, brushing, and touching up all vehicles on a regular basis to ensure professional appearance.
• All other duties as assigned by management.
• Perform small mechanical body work on vehicles when required.
• Prepare all outgoing auction vehicles when required.
• Maintain the overall cleanliness of parking lots.

Education, Licensing, and Certifications:

•   High school diploma or equivalent
• Qualified to drive and possess a valid State of Michigan driver’s license in good standing for at least 3 years

• High school diploma or equivalent

Skills and Knowledge Required:

• Must be able to work amid constant interruptions, prioritize and deal with time pressured deadlines and be able to clearly communicate during such occasions.
• Must be autonomous, self-directed and possess the ability to handle crisis and conflict situations.

Pre-Employment Requirements:

• Must submit and successfully pass drug testing, criminal background check and motor vehicle record

Physical Requirements:

• Job requires standing, bending, stooping, kneeling and walking throughout the shift.
• Must handle parts and equipment ranging from 10 to 50 lbs.
• Work is performed both indoors and outdoors in all types of conditions (e.g. weather, rain, dust, noise, heat, cold, etc.).

Position requires work in an environment where there is exposure to oils and cleaning solvents
