Water/Wastewater Engineer (Entry-Level)

GHD’s Northeast Water business is growing! We have several entry-level Engineer opportunities available throughout the region. As an Engineer, you will participate in the planning, design, permitting and construction of a variety of Civil and Environmental engineering projects for municipal and private clients. These are great opportunities for you to begin your career and develop your professional skills by learning from the senior-level staff within our Water business.

Specific responsibilities will include:

• Performing construction phase engineering tasks (i.e. submittal review, test data evaluation and compilation, etc.)
• Development of supporting project information (i.e. calculations, analyses, evaluations, cost estimates, report text, figures, drawings, etc.)
• Maintaining open communication with project team members and project managers
• Assisting with the development of drawings using AutoCAD
• Helping to develop preliminary facilities layouts and designs

Successful skills and qualifications:

• Willingness to observe construction activities and complete field investigations
• Excellent organizational skills with ability to prioritize projects and tasks in a fast-paced environment
• 0-3 years of experience; internship or co-op experience preferred
• Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work both within a team and independently
• Intermediate AutoCAD skills (layout, surface development, volume calculations)
• EIT preferred with intent to pursue Professional Engineering license
