Waterfront Supervisor - Beach And Pool Services (Full-Time) Starting At $16.35

Basic Job Function:Perform duties in and around the Beach Club including, but not limited to, erecting beach umbrellas and chaise lounges for Guests/Members; to provide superior service and perform regular cleanup of towels, debris and personal belongings; to uphold and ensure compliance with all company and departmental policies and procedures. Works as a Lead to insure seasonal staff are properly trained on Sea Island/Forbes Standards. Will assist in the day to day task planning for the team. Will be responsible to open or close the facility if needed Minimum Requirements: Guest or customer service experience preferredMust possess valid CPR/AED certification within 30 days of hire as a condition of continued employmentMust possess valid First Aid certification within 30 days of hire as a condition of continued employmentMust have one year of experience working as a Waterfront StewardExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalConsistently aspires to fulfill our core Company values (Respect, Integrity, Passion, Teamwork, Accountability, Caring, Loyalty & Trust)Exhibits the Sea Island Five-Star Behavior Standards with guests, members and co-workersMust possess a positive attitude and have the ability to work with a variety of people and in cooperation with coworkers efficiently and effectivelyMust be detail oriented and able to manage competing priorities and multiple deadlines in a fast paced environmentAbility to easily adapt to organizational and environmental changesMust be flexible to working days, early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidaysReport to work at the scheduled time, neatly groomed and in compliance with company Dress Code Policy Tasks/Responsibilities: Understand and enforce all beach club policies, rules, and regulationsAssist in opening and closing procedures with the responsibility to open or close the facility as neededLeads the seasonal staff by exhibiting professional service and training the staff on Sea Island and Forbes StandardsCarefully monitors all pools and beach areas in the immediate Beach Club area ensuring the safety of guestsProvide towel service and amenities as needed to our Guests and MembersService the Ocean House pools with towels and regular cleanupCleaning Beach area extending from the south end of the Beach Club to 4th streetCleaning pool areas and foot showersMonitor and maintain the pool deck area, beach, lawn and lounging areas for trash, soiled towels, glasses, personal items and other safety hazardsWork cross-departmentally with others to ensure events get set up and run properlyProvide assistance to Sea Island Members and Guests with concern to the Beach Club facility as well as other events taking place within the Sea IslandProvide personal service such as erecting umbrellas and moving chaise lounges for beach goersTo act as a liaison between the Sea Island Beach Club and its’ Members and GuestsLearn the names and personally recognize our regular Guests and MembersMaintain a thorough knowledge of current guest services, activities, dining options, shops, local attractions, and historical information regarding Sea Island and the surrounding area to answer any questions guests may have to the best of one’s abilityIf applicable, complete a Guest Problem Resolutions (GPR) form on any issues (solved or unsolved issues) and follow-up on issues as needed (if computer access is not available give information to admin support)Maintains cleanliness and organization in all work areasUphold appropriate departmental standards of quality/timingUphold and ensure compliance with all company and departmental policies and proceduresReport all equipment problems and maintenance issues, known safety hazards, or unsafe practices and procedures to supervisor immediatelyAttends all scheduled employee meetings and brings suggestions for improvementWilling and timely execution of other duties as delegated by leadership Physical Requirements: Ability to swim, kneel, crouch, squat, climb, stand, sit, balance, reach, bend, push, pull and walk for prolonged periodsMust have the ability to work for extended time periods in an outdoor environment, including sun, heat, cold, wind, rain, and higher than normal noise levelsAbility to perform repetitive tasks with accuracyAbility to lift, carry, pull and push up to 50 lbs intermittently throughout a shiftAbility to read, write and communicate effectively in English, both written and verbalMay be exposed to mechanical, electrical, chemical and fume hazardsAbility to maintain compliance with Sea Island’s Company Resort Professional Image Policy
