AECOM
is seeking a Water Resources Engineer (Civil Engineer) to be based in Baltimore, MD.

The Transportation Business Line of AECOM is actively seeking qualified individuals for immediately employment. The employee will be assigned to Baltimore, MD and will work with the local team and others in the department on assignments.

The successful candidate will provide support services to project locations across the region. This role will support transportation projects, including civil, roadway, drainage, and water resources management design.

The job responsibilities for this position will include but are not limited to:

  • Works on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively simple tests.
  • Performs specific and limited portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer.
  • Gathers and correlates basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures.
  • Proposes approach to solve new problems encountered.
  • Provides guidance to entry level engineers.
  • Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with moderate supervision.
  • Identifies discrepancies in results.

Qualifications


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BA/BS + 2 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
  • Valid US Driver’s License and must be able to pass AECOM’s Motor Vehicle Records review

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3+ years of experience in Roadway Engineering or Water Resources Design
  • Experience in Erosion and Sediment Control Design and permitting in Maryland.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Environmental field
  • Experience with water resources design and software including but not limited to TR-55, TR-20, HY-8, HydroCAD, HEC RAS.
  • Understanding of Stormwater Management Calculations and permitting in Maryland.
