Cascadia Metals is currently accepting resumes for a full-time Warehouse Worker, to work out of our Calgary branch.

Responsibilities

• General housekeeping and maintenance as required.
• Building skids, organizing and maintaining the stacks, disassembling the damaged skids and recycling material.
• Manual packaging of orders.
• Maintaining the yard including running the riding mower, weed trimming and keeping the yard neat.

We are a non-profit long term care facility that offers independent living, assisted living, and skilled nursing care. At Sharon Towers our team member's number one responsibility is to deliver compassionate resident care every time!
The maintenance tech is responsible for the upkeep/repair and safety of the physical properties of the facility.
In compliance with new federal requirements for Long Term Care, Proof of COVID-19 vaccination is required for all employees.
Qualifications

• Ability to be flexible, have good communication skills and enjoy working with older adults.
• Ability to to read, write, speak and understand English

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Monitors, maintains, and performs standard repairs to building electrical facilities and systems; assists licensed electricians with non-technical repairs as appropriate.
• Monitors and performs non-technical maintenance of plumbing systems; assists licensed plumbers, as appropriate.
• Documents facilities maintenance requirements; maintains appropriate records of work performed.
• Monitors performance of heating, ventilation, and cooling systems for the facility; performs standard repair/replacement of components, as appropriate, and non-technical maintenance tasks such as cleaning of heating and cooling fan coil units and adjustment of system controls.
• Performs carpentry maintenance tasks including routine sheetrock/drywall installation and/or repair, window replacement, cabinet and countertop replacement, painting and texturing, and door and hardware installation; paints interior and exterior finishes, as appropriate.

JOB TYPE

• Work weekend shifts, 8 hours a day on rotation.
• Available to be on call, on a rotation.
• Hours and shifts can be adjusted by Director as needed.
• Full Time

EDUCATION

• High School education or equivalent

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• The employee may be required to stand, walk, sit, bend, stoop, kneel, reach, crawl, lift, push, and pull a minimum of 35 pounds.
