Job Description
Position Description


This position assists with maintaining the smooth operation of a fast-paced environment. It manages and coordinates the distribution of materials for production and is responsible for the physical storage and issuing of material and parts used in production. This role is responsible for accurate maintenance of physical inventory and records of all assigned materials and parts. It requires coordination with production, purchasing and material planning personnel while ensuring that the staff comply with health, safety, and standard operating procedures.


Essential Duties And Responsibilities


  • Per work orders, prepares the production materials needed for a job and issues to the production floor.
  • Continuously review and analyze warehouse operations to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.
  • Develop and implement efficient processes for receiving, storing, and shipping products.
  • Ensures daily inventory transactions are entered into the ERP system daily.
  • Conducts physical inventories (cycle, annual, etc.) as needed.
  • Coordinate with other departments, such as production and shipping, to ensure that all orders are fulfilled in a timely manner.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to employees.
  • Monitor inventory levels and ensure that all products are properly labeled and stored according to company standards.
  • Releases work orders.
  • Train and develop new employees on warehouse procedures and policies.
  • Manage the warehouse budget and identify opportunities to reduce costs.
  • Maintain accurate records of all products and shipments.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Manage a team of warehouse workers and ensure that they are following all safety procedures and protocols.


Education And Qualifications


  • Experience in operating in a supervisory capacity within a fast-paced, highly pressurized warehouse environment.
  • Requires a minimum of 2-year degree.
  • Prior experience with ERP systems (Visual Preferred).
  • You are self-motivated, team player and capable of taking on operational responsibility.
  • You are proficient in MS Office Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and you worked with data analytics tools.
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills.
  • Requires 3 to 5 years of similar purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment.
