Warehouse Supervisor Jobs

Position Description

What You Will Do
Manage purchasing and materials operations in Material Distribution Center and ERP inventory locations.
Direct, guide, and train employees involved in purchasing and materials operations in Material Distribution Center, satellite ERP inventory storerooms and pipe yard.
Analyze And Interpret The Following

• Material quotes/bids
• Job orders
• Vendor contract specifications
• Blue prints
• Material requirements
• Industry reports

Prepare and update policies and procedures related to purchasing and materials activities; administer the policies at other company locations and imprest stock locations.
Research methods to control and minimize material costs and increase efficiency in meeting demands including:

• Making material substitutions when possible
• Proposing alterations in fabrications and designs
• Maintaining inventories at optimal levels
• Enhancing operations/reducing waste

Calculate And Verify The Following

• Stores expenses
• Pre-test pipe records
• Budget information

Prepare, compile, and approve the following:

• Vendor selections
• Materials requisitions
• Material selection
• Stores activity reports
• Invoices
• Purchase orders

Regular and reliable attendance is required in performance of job.
Employee may be required to perform additional duties as assigned.
What Will You Need
Working knowledge of personnel policies and procedures.
Demonstrated Ability In The Following Areas

• Develop information, conduct meetings, and make presentations to groups and individuals
• Making calculations and verifications applicable to position
• Analyze, evaluate, and make recommendations or decisions related to manual revisions

Experience With

• Supervision
• Researching, composing, and preparing reports, surveys, budgets, documents, and correspondence
• Interacting, advising, directing, assisting, and communicating effectively
• Monitoring, researching, evaluating, and prioritizing problems and situations to administer the operations of purchasing and materials
• Purchasing and materials operations and procedures
• Reading and interpreting manuals, reports, catalogues, job orders, documents, and correspondence

Demonstrated ability to read and write fluently in English.
Able to operate tools and equipment required.
Able to communicate and exchange information or instructions verbally.
Visual ability sufficient to perform job duties.
