Job Summary


Avantor, a global fortune 500 company is looking for a dedicated Warehouse Supervisor to optimize our Biopharma organization, that specializes in single use assembly products.

This role is full-time and will be based out of our Westminster, MA warehousing location. If you have warehouse experience – let’s talk!

What we’re looking for:
  • Industrial powered equipment experience is preferred
  • Customer orientation is required
  • Education: Associate’s/ Bachelor’s degree preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5+ years related experience in Warehousing, Receiving, Inventory Control, or Materials Management in a warehousing environment is required
  • Inventory managements systems experience is preferred
How you will thrive and create an impact:
  • Ensuring the warehouse is compliant with warehouse safety and security programs and activities
  • Ensuring all activities are performed in accordance to written procedures, ISO9001 and cGMP’s.
  • Training, motivating, team performance
  • Monitoring the receipt of all materials into the receiving department, while ensuring materials are stored in an efficient manner.
  • Assisting with management decisions and activities
  • Leading site cycle count program.
  • Investigates failure modes
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Ensuring completion of all warehouse processes
  • Planning, prioritizing, and coordinating department workflow to optimize customer service levels
  • Coordinating and leading daily team activities to include safe operating of material handling equipment
  • Planning product shipments
  • Overseeing the receiving, handling, storing, picking, packing, returns, and shipping activities within the warehouse
  • Ensuring inventory is properly decremented in computer system.
  • Resolving invoices, packing slips, and receipts discrepancies

ENVIRONMENTAL WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL EFFORT (Under Typical Positions)

Typically works in an office environment with adequate lighting and ventilation and a normal range of temperature and noise level.  Although the associate primarily works in an office environment, while performing the duties of this job, the associate can be exposed to an industrial warehouse environment. The associate may work near moving mechanical machinery and/or vehicles and the noise level in the work environment can be loud.  Work assignments are diversified. Examples of past precedent are used to resolve work problems. New alternatives may be developed to resolve problems.  A frequent volume of work and deadlines impose strain on routine basis.  Minimal physical effort is required. Work is mostly sedentary but does require walking, standing, bending, reaching, lifting or carrying objects that typically weigh less than 10 lbs.
