Location : Blackfoot Plant


Exempt Status: Hourly

Job Summary


Oversee the efficient operations in the warehouse.


Essential Functions


  • Efficiently operate a forklift
  • Each employee shall comply with occupational safety and health standards and all rules, regulations, and orders issued pursuant to the Occupational Safety and Health Act which are applicable to his/her own actions and conduct.
  • Stage & prep loads
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Ensure that trucks are loaded and unloaded correctly
  • Complies with all applicable food safety regulations and mandates (Safe Quality Foods, Food and Drug Admin, Pasteurized Milk Ordinance)
  • Keep work area clean and uncluttered and floors free of broken pieces of pallets
  • Sample product
  • Inspect out going & in going loads for damage product
  • Maintains an accurate inventory at all times
  • Maintain records of shipments and work accomplished
  • Perform daily checks on the forklifts for mechanical problems
  • Maintains an audit ready warehouse at all times
  • Helps maintain a good safe work environment
  • Takes active role in continuous improvement teams
  • Keep Warehouse ingredients, chemicals, and products organized and neat
  • Staging loads for shipping

Qualifications


  • Self-motivated and ability to work with little supervision
  • Must be able to operate a forklift while loading & unloading truck trailers of chemicals, pallets, products, and ingredients
  • Excellent record required in safety, attendance, and punctuality
  • Knowledge of the proper use of all cleaning chemicals
  • Ability to operate (or learn to operate) necessary equipment
  • Complete the process of Cycle Counting pallet, bay, and room locations accurately and efficiently.
  • Ability to stand and walk the entire shift if needed
  • Must be able to work in a cold environment
  • Complete process of performing product sampling.
  • Know and understand the warehouse storage strategy.
  • Computer experience helpful
  • Must be able to lift at least 55 lbs consecutively
  • Must meet Level 1 requirements
  • Safely and accurately operate the palletizer.
  • Must be dependable and trustworthy
  • Ability to read and write instructions in English
  • Must be able to work weekends, and overtime as required
  • Must be able to load all types of product using load configuration requirements.

  • Occasionally (25-50%) walk, lift and/or move 26 to 60 lbs.
  • Rarely (1-25%) stand, sit, talk or hear, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and reach with hands and arms.
  • Frequently (51-75%) use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
