Warehouse Operator

Location: East Boston, MA (in the Boston Harbor Shipyard)

Schedule: Full-time, 8 hour shifts Monday-Friday

Pay Rate: $23-$25 per hour with forklift experience and shift differentials for 2nd shift (+$0.50/hr) and 3rd shift (+$2.50/hr)

The Warehouse Operator is an essential role on the rapidly growing team at Downeast Cider, the #1 craft hard cider brand in the Northeast and #2 hard cider in the country. The warehouse team is fully responsible for shipping, receiving, and movement of all inventory - both materials and finished goods. We look for optimistic team members who choose positivity and humor and crush work, even in difficult situations.

What you’ll do:

• Inventory counts and light data entry
• Communicate with drivers, 3rd party warehouse and internal teams about timing, movement needs and space
• Manage product and material inventory receiving and storage
• Safely operate forklifts around coworkers and members of the public adhering to strict safety regulations and standard operating procedures
• Complete paperwork needed for shipping and receiving
• Occasionally assist with projects on the packaging team

• Must have a growth mindset and be willing to learn
• Have outstanding communication skills
• Be committed to efficiency and have the ability to identify where we can be better
• Have an understanding of inventory systems
• Have a clean driving record
• Must have a mobile phone
• Have extreme attention to detail both while operating forklifts and completing paperwork
• Be comfortable using email, google documents & sheets, and basic computer skills
• Have experience on a forklift
• Have the intelligence to be proactive and prioritize your work - work smarter not harder
