Job Description
Summary You will be responsible for the Warehouse operations to ensure reliability, consistency and on time delivery of materials to the Offshore site. You will also be responsible to support the Services Management Team with the day-to-day management of their warehouse organization, ensuring an efficient execution in achieving business targets and promoting a working environment to achieve excellence in EHS, Quality and Customer Service.


You will lead a warehouse team, using efficiently the resource to accomplish scheduled activities, coordinating their workload, monitoring quality standards and KPI’s (Key Performance Indicators), supporting them in their functional areas, developing the right level of competencies and requirements, focusing on individual and team performance (internal and costumer) to cultivate a safely and winning attitude and a positive and result oriented work environment.


You will be responsible for implementing, coordinating, and supervising the continuous improvement actions in the unit with the guidance of the Global Supply Chain Organization to guarantee Safety and maximize Quality, Delivery and Costs optimization.

Essential Responsibilities


As the Warehouse Manager, Offshore Wind, you will:


  • Monitor and improve accuracy, productivity, and performance of warehouse operations, while ensuring all customer commitments are met in a timely, quality, and cost-conscious manner.
  • Responsible for the mobilization, demobilization and sorting of tools, parts, and equipment in the warehouse during the rotation period, to facilitate efficient mobilization and demobilization load outs and deployments.
  • Be the leader of the transfer of the material and the activities of the temporary warehouse to the definitive one, once it is available.
  • Develop & Implement Lean strategy for Inventory aligned with site vision to optimize stock level, lead time and waste.
  • Improve processes so all goods receipts, moves & transactions are properly handled, and ERP is aligned with Physical state of the goods on hand.
  • Ensure full adherence to EHS (Environmental, Health & Safety) practices always, ensure that team members follow defined procedures and comply with requirements.
  • Lead LEAN activities and support others as needed, developing pull systems where flow is not possible, and other activities to achieve world-class process flow.
  • Meets warehouse financial standards by providing annual budget information; monitoring expenditures; identifying variances; implementing corrective actions.
  • Proactively anticipate Supply Chain issues and develop action plans to continuously improve quality, timeliness, competitiveness, productivity, etc. Key responsibility for the achievement of objectives and deliverables.
  • Maintains storage area by organizing floor space; adhering to storage design principles; recommending improvements.
  • Establish and manage an operational budget for your functional area. Identify innovative ways to increase productivity and decrease the cost of Supply Chain delivery. Be responsible for cost efficiency and develop operating rhythms to monitor and pulse progress in the load of resource.
  • During the period of transition to the definitive warehouse on the island, ensure all these operations in the temporary warehouse on the mainland.
  • Works with other managers throughout materials flow and materials presentation to generate continuous improvement ideas and spearheads the implementation of those ideas that lead to bottom line results.
  • Ensure processes and KPIs are in place; monitor S, Q, D, C and P metrics to conduct physical stock audits and stock accuracy.
  • Monitor inbound and outbound shipping manifest to ensure all necessary export compliance requirements are captured.
  • Coach, engage, train team members and leadership on Lean culture, 8D, 5S and Problem Solving to achieve Supply Chain and Site targets and develop team spirit.
  • Lead warehouse tooling certification and inventory operations aligned with daily site operational needs focusing on end customer satisfaction.
  • Be a role model of collaboration and coordination with other functions and Segments to maximize the value and ensures appropriate capacity management; engages with key business stakeholders to lead initiatives to deliver improvement targets and involve them in the development of a contemporary Supply Chain culture.
  • Responsible for the execution of the logistic between the onshore local warehouse and the SOV, CTV, Heliport, … ensuring all tools, parts and equipment are identified and stored in the right location and defining and documenting the delivery processes to manage efficient and effective “Transport” stores operations.


Required Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or relevant experience in the sector.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience supervising warehouse operations in a manufacturing environment


Desired Characteristics


  • Experience in lean methodologies and process improvement activities.
  • Very organized, rigorous, proactive, and oriented to maintain a high level of quality in the warehouse.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and implement Best Practices and deal with high levels of ambiguity.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with ERP (SAP, Oracle ...) or WMS system - At least 4 years of experience.
  • Shipping manifest software knowledge (Vissim or another similar program, …)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English).
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools with proficiency in Word and Excel. Ability to learn other application software essential to performing job tasks.
  • Be a resident on the Martha's Island or be predisposed to move your domicile there.
  • General knowledge of mechanics and electricity.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Tools calibration and certification knowledge.
  • Strong leadership and teambuilding skillset, ability to lead and develop teams that includes direct reports.


The salary range for this position is $72,000 - $120,000. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location.
