THE POSITION
The Warehouse Lead, reporting to the Supervisor/Assistant Operations Manager, will assist in coordinating all daily warehousing activities for assigned areas. This position will be responsible for assisting the Warehouse Supervisor with training, assigning, scheduling, and communicating job expectations.

This shift works 7:00Am-3:45PM, Monday-Friday.

The pay rate for this role is $41,000/year.

YOUR DAY-TO-DAY

  • Oversee the daily department production activity and ensure all area targets are met.
  • Assess assigned warehouse operations daily to ensure the warehouse is neat, secure, and well organized.
  • Recommend and implement process improvements for assigned areas of the operation.
  • Articulate customer concerns and operational issues to their direct supervisor/manager in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Assume supervisor responsibilities in the event of the Supervisor’s absence.
  • Perform all duties of the warehouse associate as needed.
  • Assist with maintaining accurate physical inventories.
  • Ensure the safety of associates at all times.
  • Actively participate and may hold start-up meetings for assigned areas of responsibility.
  • Provide guidance to assigned associates and direct the day-to-day workflow of the assigned area.
  • Train employees and temporary staff on all standard operating processes and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Powered industrial equipment experience preferred.
  • Ability to read, write and communicate in English (Bilingual Spanish/English skills preferred).
  • Experience must demonstrate the ability to balance competing priorities, complex situations, and tight deadlines. Strong emphasis on organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft business applications such as Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and warehouse management systems preferred.
  • High school diploma/GED strongly preferred.
  • Must be able to interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance
  • Experience must demonstrate a strong working knowledge of warehouse operations and policies and procedures.
