RESPONSIBILITIES:

General and Task Management

  • Ensures proper incoming quantities through packing lists, verifying part numbers, and pursue order alignment.
  • Orders and maintains adequate supply of materials to efficiently operate the warehouse.
  • Develop ideas and strategies to improve operational efficiency, add value, aid business performance and work towards a strategy of continuous improvement (ie: work order kitting, bar code adoption, performance management, Kanban setup & implementation, etc.).
  • Maximize space management inside the warehouse.
  • Ensures accuracy of inventory through proper paperwork, transactional timeliness, and cycle counts.
  • Develops, maintains, and manages floor staging areas throughout the factory.
  • Responsible for proper training of warehouse personnel.
  • Ensures all transactions are conducted on a real time basis prior to allowing in/out material movements.
  • Regularly reviews open PO’s and plans for upcoming material receipts/disbursements.
  • Ensures physical security of the inventory.

Relationship Management

  • Build, maintain and manage supplier relationships and ensure good communications
  • Works collaboratively with production floor, purchasing, finance, and other business stakeholders to ensure inventory and warehouse management is sufficiently serving the aggregate business needs.
  • Attend meetings and update others on issues or concerns, in particular when there is a risk which could prevent the organization meeting customer demands or where there are over capacity concerns

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

All pertinent warehouse and floor stock personnel.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Working knowledge of material planning and inventory principles
  • Ability to mine data from several sources to build actionable reporting using BI Tools
  • Demonstrated competency with cross-functional engagement and collaboration
  • Excellent Excel skills with proven experience delivering data-driven, valuable insights to executive stakeholders
  • 8 years of experience in supply chain, warehouse, manufacturing or distribution function
  • Proficient computer skills – particularly Microsoft Office applications
  • Direct ERP experience – Microsoft D365 is a plus.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

APICS certification preferred
