Warehouse / Forklift Operator - Ronkonkoma

New Castle Building Products (NCBP) is a family owned and operated distributor of building supplies based in White Plains, New York, serving the Northeastern United States with twenty plus convenient locations in six states. With a history dating back to 1910, New Castle has evolved from a small sheet metal distributor, to a full service distributor of building materials specializing in commercial and residential roofing.

Our location based in Ronkonkoma is seeking a full time Warehouse/Forklift Operator. Candidates should have the ability to function in a dynamic warehouse environment and order fulfillment is a plus.

• Frequent lifting and moving of material up to 70 pounds

MAIN JOB TASKS & REQUIREMENTS

• Fulfilling customer orders from stock based on work orders
• Loading and unloading trucks of building materials including the checking-in of material
• Frequent standing, walking, crouching
• Operate forklift in a safe manner with proper safety equipment
• Load building materials onto pallets and shelves for either delivery or for receipt into the warehouse
• Organize warehouse for orderliness at all times
• Assist in counting of physical inventory

Wage Range: $24/hour based on the Union Contract. In compliance with applicable law, this range is a good faith estimate based on potential employee qualifications, operational needs and other considerations permitted by law.
