Warehouse Associate - Wire

Caniff Electric Supply, a wholly owned subsidiary of McNaughton-McKay Electric Company, is a full-line wholesale electrical distributor specialized to serve the commercial and industrial electrical industry. Caniff has multiple locations that serve Southeast Michigan.
Description:
This is a fairly physical warehouse role in which light machinery is involved to perform daily tasks. This individual is responsible for fulfilling customer wire orders by both accurately reading order tickets, and accurately utilizing machinery to measure and cut wire to specified lengths. This is an energetic and hard-working individual with an understanding of warehouse operations that likes to be hands on. Quality assurance is a standard in performing this job.
Responsibilities:

• General Maintenance and Warehouse Upkeep
• Cycle Counting
• Operating Wire Measuring and Cutting Machinery
• Reading Customer Orders Accurately
• Safe Handling of Materials
• Operating a Hilo
• Inventory and Stock Movement
• Truck Staging and Loading

Requirements:

• Physical work including but not limited to being able to lift and carry up to 100lbs, bend, kneel, climb
• Able to operate a forklift or willing to learn.
• Dependable, reliable, and accurate.

• Minimum of 1 year warehouse work experience.
• Indoor/Outdoor work environment.
• Fundamental math skills.
• Observing all safety policies and procedures.

Hours: M-F, 6-3, 8-5, 10-7, with overtime as needed
Job Type: Full-time, $18.00-$21.00 per hour starting pay
