Who We Are Seeking

Left Field labs is seeking a freelance VR UX Senior Designer focusing on UX design with experience in designing for XR and VR experiences and products. You will be responsible for creating experiences and interactions for a platform that will have a both virtual and mixed reality application.

What You’ll Do

• Undertake research and information gathering prior to the commencement of a new task
• Help establish and understand the visual intent of a project's art style and translate it into intuitive, high-level art
• Maintain a good general knowledge of the product's design to facilitate communication and enable early identification of issues
• Responsible for envisioning and implementing the user experience and user interface
• Create efficient 2D and 3D interface designs for XR,AR and VR
• Be a conduit of honest and constructive feedback both up and down the chain

What You’ll Need to be Successful

• UX/UI experience for virtual and/or mixed reality experiences
• 2D and 3D art skills
• Flexible, proactive, self-starter with a positive attitude (rain or shine)
• 3 years minimum professional experience
• Organized, informed, creative
• Experience with large team content pipelines

Bonus Points

• Concept and illustration experience
• Experience with a XR/VR UX/UI development workflow
• Able to design for and iterate in VR
• PBR, Photogrammetry, MoCap
• Previous VR experience
• Experience with the Unity game engine
• 3D environment art skills

The hourly range for this role is $65-$115 per hour. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in Culver City, California. This is the lowest to highest salary we reasonably and in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
