The VP Order to Cash is a critical leadership role reporting directly to the Senior Vice President of Shared Business Services. The primary objective is to direct, measure, and improve the comprehensive Order-to-Cash process which includes Customer Operations, Accounts Receivable, and Credit & Collections. This role is part of the Senior Leadership Team for the Shared Business Services (SBS) organization. This experienced Change Leader must be skilled at Strategy Development, Talent Excellence, Delivering Results, and leading a team to consistently provide a frictionless Customer Experience. This role will continue to develop and lead a high performing team to obtain stretch targets in the areas of efficiency, effectiveness, customer satisfaction, and encouraging highly engaged employees.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Develop influential relationships with stakeholders throughout the organization to understand the business and create the appropriate end-customer solutions.
  • Own the Corporate Credit Policy for US Foods. Analyze global economic and customer trends and relate those trends to management personnel. Counsel corporate, region and local management in key credit situations.
  • Own department performance and maintain continual internal and external reviews to ensure that all issues are resolved in accordance with company policies.
  • Lead the Order-to-Cash Function to manage the support activities for our future and existing customers in the areas of contract creation, customer on-boarding, invoicing, accounts receivable, and credit & collections.
  • Identify and execute initiatives that improve the company’s ability to serve and build relationships with its customers.
  • Recommend appropriate bad debt reserves in compliance with bad debt policy, when applicable.
  • Manage the monitoring and reporting of KPIs and SLAs to continually optimize processes and deliver on objectives.
  • Champion employee development to ensure the highest level of morale and productivity through proper coaching, employee development, incentive programs, communications, and challenging assignments.
  • Assess possible insourcing & outsourcing opportunities that will enhance effectiveness. Manage relationships with current external vendors.
  • Ensure that adequate controls and compliance with US Foods corporate policies and Sarbanes Oxley are maintained.
  • Own the long-term vision of the Order-to-Cash Function, which includes analyzing cost structure, service consistency, and process optimization for a centralized team structure.

SUPERVISION
3 direct reports that manage an overall team of 350 employees.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • Remote: This role is fully remote; the associate is expected to perform assigned responsibilities from a home-based environment.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Continuous Improvement experience preferred (Lean or Six Sigma)
  • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field required. MBA preferred.
  • Proven track record of success in leading and developing leaders and high performing teams as well as guiding an IDP process.
  • Proven ability to create and articulate a customer focused vision, as well as gain buy-in and collaboration across the organization.
  • 7+ years of operational and systems experience in a Finance and/or shared services executive leadership role.
  • Led a team in a complex customer service or call center environment.
  • Demonstrates behaviors that align to US Foods Cultural Beliefs and Leadership Behaviors to drive observable and measurable results. “How” you accomplish or achieve your performance goals and commitments is just as important as “what” you accomplish or achieve.
  • Has led a team of 150+ in a complex, multi-site environment.
  • 10+ years credit and collections experience at mid- to large-sized company
  • Ability to collaborate with all levels throughout the organization to accomplish strategic initiatives and achieve key objectives.
  • A resilient focus on employee development through continuous coaching and feedback.
  • Proven ability to drive infrastructure improvement and processes to increase efficiency, while measurably improving cost per transaction.

The following information is provided in accordance with certain state and local laws. Compensation depends on experience, geographic locations, and other factors permitted by law. In Colorado, the expected compensation for this role is between $197,850 and $226,100. In New York City, the expected compensation for this role is between $220,250 and $251,700. In California, the expected compensation for this role is between $209,200 and $239,100. In Washington, the expected compensation for this role is between $209,200 and $239,100.
