Job Description

LHH is assisting a recently acquired PE-Backed company technology company for a qualified VP of Finance, and Global Controller to join the organization. Reporting to the CFO, this is a highly visible role that will be tasked with scaling the accounting/finance function.


This individual will have direct oversight over accounting, financial reporting, global shared services, FP&A, audits, etc. This individual will manage a large global team and be involved in strategic growth initiatives and M&A due diligence. Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls in compliance with GAAP, IFRS, and local regulations
  • Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making, including evaluating business opportunities, identifying areas of improvement, and analyzing financial performance metrics
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
  • Manage the budgeting and forecasting process and provide regular updates to senior management
  • Maintain a strong system of internal controls and ensure compliance with all financial reporting requirements
  • Manage and oversee the day-to-day activities of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll functions
  • Develop and manage relationships with external stakeholders, including banks, auditors, and regulatory bodies
  • Manage the annual audit process and liaise with external auditors to ensure timely and accurate completion of audits
  • Assist in ad-hoc projects when needed


Qualifications:

  • CPA or CMA certification preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Public Accounting Foundation is REQUIRED
  • Experience in managing complex financial operations in a global organization
  • Experience working in a private equity environment
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in accounting or finance, with at least 5 years in a senior management/leadership role
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze financial data and communicate insights effectively to non-financial stakeholders
  • Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to build and develop high-performing teams
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and IFRS (highly preferred)
  • Willingness to travel 2 times a month
