LHH is assisting a recently acquired PE-Backed company technology company for a qualified VP of Finance, and Global Controller to join the organization. Reporting to the CFO, this is a highly visible role that will be tasked with scaling the accounting/finance function.
This individual will have direct oversight over accounting, financial reporting, global shared services, FP&A, audits, etc. This individual will manage a large global team and be involved in strategic growth initiatives and M&A due diligence. Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls in compliance with GAAP, IFRS, and local regulations
- Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making, including evaluating business opportunities, identifying areas of improvement, and analyzing financial performance metrics
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Manage the budgeting and forecasting process and provide regular updates to senior management
- Maintain a strong system of internal controls and ensure compliance with all financial reporting requirements
- Manage and oversee the day-to-day activities of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll functions
- Develop and manage relationships with external stakeholders, including banks, auditors, and regulatory bodies
- Manage the annual audit process and liaise with external auditors to ensure timely and accurate completion of audits
- Assist in ad-hoc projects when needed
Qualifications:
- CPA or CMA certification preferred
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Public Accounting Foundation is REQUIRED
- Experience in managing complex financial operations in a global organization
- Experience working in a private equity environment
- 10+ years of progressive experience in accounting or finance, with at least 5 years in a senior management/leadership role
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze financial data and communicate insights effectively to non-financial stakeholders
- Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to build and develop high-performing teams
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and IFRS (highly preferred)
- Willingness to travel 2 times a month
