Role Description
Form Energy is on the cusp of making the transition from product engineering and pilot production to scaled manufacturing of our novel iron air battery. We have broken ground at the site of our future plant in Weirton, WV and we are looking for the right person to build and lead the team that will be at the core of our next phase of growth. As the VP, Manufacturing Operations, you will be the architect and leader of Form’s manufacturing operations organization. Your team will include all elements of: Production Operations, New Product Introduction, Facilities, Maintenance and Environmental Health and Safety. You will step into leadership of the existing team, which is driving Form’s pilot production efforts while you plan and execute on our path to scaled operations in Weirton and beyond.
This opportunity is based out of Form Energy's Eighty Four, PA location (Greater Pittsburgh Area). Relocation assistance available.
What You'll Do

• Leverage the Form culture to create an inclusive working environment where team members are engaged, feel valued, and are motivated to be strong contributors.
• Own the safety, health and well-being of the Form team by providing overall leadership to the EHS function in a way that embodies our “Yes, if” mentality.
• Develop and implement efficient manufacturing systems to meet tactical and strategic needs of the business
• Design, recruit, retain, and reward a diverse team of A-players.
• Manage performance and talent development with clear plans and measurable milestones.
• Lead the creation and execution of Form’s operations strategy including building and tracking against programs, plans and budgets.
• Drive continuous improvement and deliver on plans through close collaboration with Supply Chain, Materials, Warehouse, Advanced Manufacturing, Finance, Product Engineering, Software Engineering, and other internal stakeholders.

What You'll Bring

• Inspirational, empathic, leadership with high motivation to deliver on our goals.
• 12+ years of experience in operations and manufacturing in an energy hardware manufacturing or similar environment with a track record of increasing responsibility over time.
• Lean and/or Six Sigma practitioner experience is a must
• Experience leading a continuous improvement program through established practices like Kaizen, Gemba Walks, Yokoten, eliminating waste (Muda), Value Stream mapping or other manufacturing practices.
• Strategic thinker
