About The Role


The New England Vice President of Project Management & Construction will lead the strategic direction and operational aspects of the Electric Capital Portfolio of work for the New England region. The VP will be responsible for the project delivery process and construction, while developing strategies that meet our customers’ needs, achieving high standards of safety, health, environmental, security regulatory and quality compliance.

Key Accountabilities


As part of this critical role your accountabilities will include:

  • Monitoring and ensuring project goals, including scope, budget, and schedule, are met.
  • Overseeing all phases of project lifecycle from project identification through construction and financial close out, including but not limited to engineering, procurement of material and resources, and regulatory permitting.
  • Leading the strategic direction and operational aspects of the Electric Capital Portfolio of work for the New England region.
  • Anticipating regulatory and approval processes as well as critical path workflow to ensure positive project momentum.
  • Executing a risk-based management approach to project delivery which includes identifying project risk, forecasting project risk and appropriately mitigating project risk.
  • Overseeing National Grid Electric capital portfolio delivery for the New England Region.
  • Being held responsible for the project delivery process and construction, while developing strategies that meet our customers’ needs, achieving high standards of safety, health, environmental, security regulatory and quality compliance.

About You


We are looking for experienced candidates who possess the following:

  • Experience managing projects from start to finish, leading projects through ambiguity, and galvanizing resources from various teams in concerted action
  • Can demonstrate ability to understand, analyze and prioritize a broad range of issues coupled with strong decision-making skills
  • Are commercially minded and customer focused
  • Strong project management skills
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to analyze business issues, provide strategic direction on capital delivery, motivate the team, and develop the capability of the organization to succeed
  • Can demonstrate experience managing projects from start to finish, leading projects through ambiguity, and galvanizing resources from various teams in concerted action

Salary: Circa $196,000 - $294,000 a year.
