What’s the role?
As VP of Cybersecurity, Strategy and Operations, you will partner with the Chief Information Security Office (CISO) to drive organizational transformation, implement best practices, manage business priorities, and coordinate cross-functional initiatives. You will act as a trusted advisor to the CISO working to mature the Information Risk and Cybersecurity organization. You will be responsible for coordinating line-of-sight into progress against goals set in multiple areas of the organization. Your responsibilities will include partnering with the leadership team, business partners, engineering, HR (Human Resources) and Finance to help ensure that Information Risk and Cybersecurity organization and its leaders are consistently set up for success. You will lead a skilled team driving organization effectiveness, strategy definition and alignment.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Leads the department’s resource management, financial planning, and budget management in partnership with HR and Finance.
  • Leads across-department collaboration by driving operational cadences and reporting, shaping, and executing on department’s communication strategy.
  • Leads department/functional strategic initiatives that drive business value. Collaborates, plans, and organizes to bridge strategies across teams.
  • Establishes internal best practices for strategy, defining consistent processes, selecting, and implementing universal tools and driving continuous improvement.
  • Utilizes proven security or risk management expertise to develop scalable and sustainable operational metrics dashboards and scorecards for Executive Leadership Team and coach peer leadership team on the development of actionable KPIs.
  • Provides the CISO and leadership team executive support with quality and efficiency.
  • Keeps track of objectives and KPIs and implements robust processes/systems to improve performance and productivity. Creates and updates reporting dashboards to track changes in KPIs.
  • Helps prepare and refine board-level and senior management presentations and company-wide information security communications.
Skills And Experience
  • Owned responsibilities for forecasting, financial reporting, cost reduction strategies and analysis for large scale initiatives within a medium to large scale organization.
  • Proven experience managing a portfolio of security projects as the central point-of contact and owner of operational excellence, financial budgeting, reporting and communications to the broader enterprise. Leads metrics and reporting strategy to ensure that the organization understands its own health, finds growth levers, and identifies opportunities for optimization.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in cybersecurity or risk management.
  • Strong business acumen, forward-thinking and able to work through ambiguous requests.
  • Excellent judgment and the ability to make quick decisions when working in complex situations.
  • Implementation and use with a mastery of goal setting frameworks like OKR, KPI management.
  • Strong written and oral communications skills across varying levels of the organization with an ability to lean into in-depth discussions with highly technical stakeholders. High attention to detail.
  • High degree of integrity, trustworthiness, and confidence, representing the company and its management team with the highest level of professionalism.
  • Applied financial planning and analysis expertise for large scale initiatives in an operational capacity across a medium to large scale organization.
  • Lead a skilled team of approximately 20 members in a critical department and develop the team using leadership skills and knowledge of the cybersecurity or risk management field.
  • Ability to work effectively with various personalities, adapting the approach to reach and develop the team. Uses skills, experience, and functional knowledge to earn and maintain credibility with the team.
Education Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information assurance, MIS or related field, or equivalent.
Certification Requirements
  • None required, but one or more certifications (e.g., PMP, CISSP, CISM, and/or SANS) a plus.
Compensation Range
Pay Range - Start:
$143,360.00
Pay Range - End
$204,800.00
