Job Description
Hayward Holdings Inc. (NYSE "HAYW") is the largest manufacturer of residential swimming pool equipment in the world, with a significant presence in the commercial pool market that is continuously growing. Hayward designs, manufactures, and markets a full line of residential and commercial pool and spa equipment including pumps, filters, heating, cleaners, salt chlorinators, automation, lighting, safety, flow control and energy solutions at our company owned facilities. Headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina, Hayward also has facilities in Tennessee, Arizona, and Rhode Island as well as Canada, Spain, France, Australia, and China. This position is located in Charlotte, NC (1415 Vantage Park Drive).


Finance is evolving in the world of business, moving from the back seat to the front seat, providing the information and tools the organization needs to make real-time decisions to improve performance. This is true at Hayward as well, giving us the opportunity to demonstrate our value and drive our organization toward the best possible results.


Our Finance Leadership Team has reimagined our operating model to better serve and lead our organization; to be more focused on our customers and stakeholders, to improve financial analysis, business intelligence, demand drivers, and market analytics; to enable us to deliver greater real-time insights, minimize error and biases, and drive speed in workflows and decision-making.


In doing this, we want to optimize the capabilities we already have, leverage our team’s talent, and allow individuals to adjust their work quickly and dynamically so they can focus on the most pressing topics facing our organization.


We have taken steps to reorganize the Finance organization into Centers of Excellence (COEs) and we are seeking a leader for our Business Intelligence CoE.


Reporting to the CFO, as a VP of Business Intelligence you will be responsible:


  • Decision Support : Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will enable data-driven decision-making and provide solutions that are aligned with business needs.
  • Strategy Development : developing and implementing business intelligence strategies that support the organization's goals and objectives.
  • Leadership : managing the Business Intelligence Center of Excellence (CoE) at Hayward


Responsibilities


What you will do as a Vice President of Business Intelligence:


  • Industry Intelligence : Stay up to date with industry trends, new technologies, and best practices with Business Intelligence. Evaluate tools/technologies and maintain vendor relationships consistent with budget requirements.
  • Strategic Initiative Management : Design, develop and implement strategic initiatives focused on providing functional area support with data visualization, data analytics, and process improvement/automation needs based on business priorities and objectives.
  • Collaboration : Collaborate with finance and other functional teams to gain a deep understanding of their main challenges and opportunities. By leveraging advanced tools and technologies for data transformation, interpretation, and analysis, the VP of BI will help answer critical business questions, provide recommendations, and improve overall functional effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Insight Generation : Conceptualize and build data-driven analytical models to provide key analyses and recommendations on strategic and various projects for executive management to prioritize and allocate resources to achieve business and financial goals.
  • Data Governance : Establish and maintain informational reliability by collaborating with IT and other business functions to improve data quality and integrity. Develop data quality assurance processes, governance and provide recommendations for master data management (“MDM”) resolution.
  • Team and Talent Development : Establishing and leading an internal Bi Center of Excellence (BI COE), while driving the organizational effort to develop a data culture that enables and accelerates digital transformation. This will involve building a talented team through upskilling and talent development while fostering a team atmosphere.


Qualifications


What you will bring


Knowledge: Strong knowledge and expertise in statistical and data mining techniques, experience working with operating systems and data sources.


Skills


  • Advanced technical experience with BI tools (i.e., PowerBI, Alteryx, Python, etc.) and data warehousing/modeling (i.e. Snowflake, SQL, dBeaver, etc.).
  • Superior presentation and storytelling skills, customer focus, and ability to work in diverse, cross-functional team environment.


Abilities


  • High attention to detail with excellent problem-solving capabilities, proven ability to make data-driven recommendations and drive continuous improvements.
  • Strong business sense/finance acumen, experience working in a global manufacturing business environment preferred.
  • A highly motivated, proactive, and collaborative work ethic, with the ability to manage and move projects forward, with a sense of urgency and the ability to enact change quickly.
  • Confident, energetic self-starter, with strong moderation and influencing skills. Experience interacting with all levels of management and board members.
  • Strong leadership ability and skills to coach and develop talent, inspire innovation, and promote a data-driven culture.


Experience : 10+ years of experience in advanced data analytics and modeling, with at least 5 years in a leadership position.


Education


  • Master’s degree in a related field preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, economics, statistics, finance, or other related field.
