Location: Remote; based in Tampa, FL ideally; open to any city with easy access to an international airport in the South East and Lower Mid-West United States.

Travel: 75% travel; areas of support include Fredericksburg, VA, Texas, and Mid-Atlantic region; nothing west of Texas

Position Overview

Assist in developing sites designs, implementation, and support activities for various voice projects. The primary technology is Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM) clusters, Cisco Analog Voice Gateways (VGs), and Cisco voice gateway routers for PSTN connectivity.

What You Will Do

• Attend all scheduled weekly project meetings, both in-person and/or online
• Understand project organizational structure for issues escalation pathways
• Organization and cleanliness of assigned/temporary work areas
• Role will require frequent travel – Up to 75%
• Serve onsite as Insight direct point-of-contact to client and 3rd-party vendors
• Delegate daily/weekly task assignments of Technician Team, 3rd-party vendors, and site leadership
• Responsible for creating standards-based designs, configuration of systems, endpoints, features, and functionality via compilation and execution/updates to standard engineering documents
• Implement site specific processes and procedures per project/site management
• Train Technician Team on project and Insight processes and procedures
• Initiate proactive conflict resolution with all project stakeholders
• Daily End-of-Day progress and status reporting to Project Manager
• Daily/weekly operations status updates with Site Lead and Lead Engineer
• Daily submitting of Excel reports/documentation to project stakeholders per Project Manager
• Strict adherence to proper etiquette and decorum with all verbal and written communications
• Tracking, editing, and managing all site project documentation during all phases
• Continuous data and task auditing of Technician Team, 3rd-party vendors, and site leadership
• Inventory, manage, and track all Insight project devices, tools, hardware, and software

What You Need

• Experience with SIP, H.323, SCCP, and MGCP gateways and endpoints
• Experience in low-voltage cabling
• Experience in designing, integrating, and/or troubleshooting Cisco UC issues in a multi-vendor environment
• Experience with; de-mark extension, analog cross connects, punch down on 66 and 110 blocks.is a plus.
• Vendor coordination with telecom and maintenance providers
• Minimum of 5 experience as a Cisco voice system engineer
• Experience with extensive design, configuration and implementation of Cisco VoIP, UC, and (to a limited extent) legacy technologies.
• Expertise in CUCM 11.x, provisioning of WAN and PSTN circuits to provide sufficient capacity for on-net and off-net voice traffic
• Experience in deploying medium to large scale Cisco UC integrations
• Experience in dealing with telecom provisioning.
• CCNA, CCNA Voice, or CCNP is a plus
• Experienced in troubleshooting and configuring Cisco IOS voice gateways, including provisioning of dial peers, understanding trunk groups, translation patterns, T1/PRI circuits
• Experience with Overhead paging and PA systems
• Expertise with Microsoft Office Suite. Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
• Understanding of complex/global dial plans, including E.164
• The following Enterprise Voice (EV) experience is a plus:
• Experience with legacy PBX (Avaya, Nortel)
