VMware & LogicMonitor Admin

Position: VMware with LogicMonitor Administrator/Engineer


:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced VMware with LogicMonitor Administrator/Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our VMware infrastructure and LogicMonitor monitoring platform. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the stability, performance, and security of our virtualized environment and monitoring system.

Responsibilities:

VMware Administration:

Manage and maintain VMware vSphere infrastructure, including ESXi hosts, virtual machines, vCenter Server, and associated components.

Perform capacity planning, resource allocation, and troubleshooting for VMware environments.

Implement and manage virtual networking and storage solutions.

Monitor and optimize VMware performance, availability, and security.

LogicMonitor Administration:

Deploy, configure, and maintain the LogicMonitor monitoring platform.

Create and customize monitoring policies, alerts, and dashboards.

Monitor and report on the health and performance of various systems, applications, and network devices.

Troubleshoot and resolve LogicMonitor-related issues.

Collaboration and Documentation:

Work closely with cross-functional teams, including system administrators, network engineers, and application owners, to understand monitoring requirements and provide solutions.

Document and maintain technical procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting guides.

Collaborate with the IT team to ensure effective communication and knowledge sharing.

Security and Compliance:

Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.

Perform regular vulnerability assessments and apply appropriate patches and updates.

Monitor and respond to security incidents and alerts.

Continuous Improvement:


Stay updated with the latest VMware and LogicMonitor technologies, trends, and best practices.

Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications:


Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Proven experience in VMware vSphere administration, including ESXi, vCenter Server, and virtual networking/storage.

Strong understanding of virtualization concepts, high availability, and disaster recovery.

Experience with LogicMonitor or other monitoring platforms, including policy creation, alerting, and reporting.

Knowledge of networking protocols, systems, and devices (routers, switches, firewalls, etc.).

Familiarity with security principles and practices, including vulnerability management and incident response.

Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

VMware certifications (e.g., VCP, VCAP) and LogicMonitor certifications are a plus.
