Job Description
About The Company

Arbor is a public benefit corporation with a mission to bring people together through storytelling. Our product is a video biographer platform for families to capture their stories so they can share their history. We are doing a private beta to test the product, and hence don’t openly advertise on social media platforms.

We’re at an early stage, meaning there are plenty of areas to learn and make a meaningful impact. You’ll have the opportunity to gain experience in an early-stage, growing, venture-backed company. You will work closely with a diverse group of leaders who built successful companies before on the founding team, and learn what it takes to go 0 to 1.

About The Role

The Video Editor is tasked with taking the raw footage shot by our interviews and turning it into the final edited video. This means being able to follow our company brand guide and post-production workflow, in creating a series of short videos (2-5 minutes each). It is the responsibility of the Video Editor to review all the footage and create the best output by cutting and connecting various footage, adding sound effects and graphics (if needed) and fine-tuning the completed videos. Ultimately, as a Video Editor, you should be able to bring picture, audio and graphics together in order to tell a cohesive story that is in line with the company’s brand guidelines.

Requirements

  • Following our brand guidelines in creating the video edits.
  • Working closely with our Post-Production Supervisor and post team.
  • Consult with stakeholders from production to post-production processes when needed.
  • Organizing digital files as part of the company’s workflow.
  • Have availability to work a minimum of 10 hours per week.
  • Be able to edit remotely.
  • Editing, transcoding, outputting, and uploading digital video content.

Previous Relevant Experience

  • Comfortability working in Adobe Premiere Pro.
  • Previous work experience as a Video Editor.

Work details

  • 1099 contractor
  • Work location: 100% Remote
  • $20.00 USD per hour

We value equity, inclusion, belonging, and diversity at our company. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender identity, national origin, or any other applicable legally protected characteristic. Also - if you feel like you don't meet all the criteria above, please apply anyway! We don't want that to get in the way of meeting you.
