Job Description

General Position Summary:

The VP, Public Markets leads all of the public market investments for the Milton Hershey School Trust, including public equity, public real assets, and public fixed income.The role maintains primary responsibility for portfolio construction, manager selection, and due diligence for the public equities and real assets portfolios, independently performing rigorous qualitative and quantitative due diligence to validate the attractiveness of investment opportunities to recommend actions to the investment team.The role provides guidance and acts as a sounding board to the Director of Fixed Income.The VP is responsible for the monitoring and continual evaluation of public markets investments after the investment decision is implemented with ongoing due diligence activities to includes preparing and analyzing investment reports, monitoring and evaluating investment manager performance.The role ensures that appropriate documentation is in place regarding all public markets investments. The role works closely with the CIO, Deputy CIO, and Portfolio Analytics group to ensure that exposures are expressed in the desired manner within the portfolio.The VP serves as a member of the Hershey Trust Company Senior Officers’ Committee.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • CFA desired
  • 10+ years of directly related experience
  • MBA or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field


This is a hybrid role working 2+ days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) in office in Hershey, PA.
