As we embark on this transformative journey, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Vice President of Sales to lead our cold call sales team with offices in Charlotte, Austin and Phoenix. If you thrive on building exceptional sales cultures, have a proven track record of scripting success, possess experience in managing teams of 100+ people, and deeply understand effective sales training, excel at managing sales processes, bring extensive experience in outbound cold call sales leadership, this role is tailor-made for you.


Position Overview: As the VP of Sales - Cold Call Team Leader, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our sales operations. You will be responsible for leading a team of cold call sales professionals, driving revenue growth, and establishing a culture of excellence. Your primary focus will be to refine and execute our sales strategy for converting small business owners into enthusiastic customers who benefit from our innovative SAAS product.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Scripting Expertise: Leverage your experience in creating effective sales scripts that resonate with potential customers. Collaborate with the sales team to refine scripts, objection handling techniques, and persuasive messaging to maximize conversions.
  • Sales Culture: Build and nurture a phenomenal cold call sales culture rooted in positivity, accountability, and results. Foster a sense of camaraderie, healthy competition, and a strong commitment to achieving collective goals.
  • Training and Development: Design and implement comprehensive training programs that equip sales representatives with the skills, product knowledge, and techniques needed to succeed. Continuously enhance the team's abilities through ongoing coaching and skill-building initiatives.
  • Collaboration with Marketing: Collaborate closely with the marketing department to develop effective promotional materials, ensuring a consistent and compelling brand message throughout the sales process.
  • Market Research: Research the market and competitors to identify trends, opportunities, and potential areas for differentiation. Utilize this information to inform strategic decisions and refine the sales approach.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with product development, marketing, and customer support teams to provide feedback from the field, contribute to product roadmap discussions, and enhance the overall customer experience.
  • Sales Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy that aligns with our transition from an SEO company to a SAAS company. Identify target markets, create compelling value propositions, and refine sales processes to meet the evolving needs of small business owners.
  • Managing Sales Processes: Oversee all sales team members and processes, from prospecting to closing deals. Set sales goals and quotas, create the sales department budget, and produce sales forecasts and reports.
  • Customer Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded. Understand their pain points and tailor sales strategies to address their unique challenges.
  • Proven Leadership: Demonstrated success in building and leading high performing sales teams of 100+ members across multiple locations, ideally in a SAAS and or ad agency related environment.


Qualifications:

  • Willingness to Travel: Must be willing to travel up to 25% of the time to engage with offices in Charlotte and Phoenix.
  • Cold Call Sales Leadership Experience: A minimum of 10 years of experience leading large teams in cold call sales, with at least 5 years at the VP level and prior experience at the director level.
