Job Description

Who They Are

Our client is one of the largest 100% employee-owned lumber and building material suppliers in Pennsylvania. This company has been in the industry for 30+ years and today they're exceeding $30M in revenue across the Northeast region of the US. We're currently looking for a VP of Manufacturing to maintain 3 component manufacturing facilities located in Central PA. The ideal candidate will have a high-level understanding of the truss/floor/panel system design process and experience managing a staff of 20-50 employees. This individual will ensure that production goals are hit, and quality products are delivered in a timely fashion while maintaining a safe working environment.


What You'll Do

  • Monitors the inspection of finished products for quality and quantity, assuring products are assembled according to approved engineering drawings, client specifications and time requirements
  • Manage and monitor Inventory levels for accuracy and price controls
  • Optimize technology to raise the productivity and effectiveness of the manufacturing operation in line with current technology
  • Analyzes production output through the use of production planning and reporting
  • Determine efficient production schedules to ensure lead times are met
  • Participate and implement strategic plan


What You'll Need

  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products
  • Strong work ethic, interpersonal skills and a passion for excellence
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • Leadership skills
  • Proficient in analyzing and managing reports
  • Knowledge of OSHA Regulations and Industrial Safety
  • Excellent listening, negotiating and presentation skills
  • Five or more years of manufacturing experience
  • Results oriented
  • Understanding truss/panel/floor systems designs
