Vice President of Cyber Operations
Charleston, SC

As a Vice President of Cyber Operations you will will be responsible for the day to day management of cross-functional projects in support of a large cyber effort. Program management responsibilities include requirements development, project planning, project execution, and monitoring and controlling projects within budget and within scope. You will oversee all aspects of assigned projects, to include establishing deadlines, assigning responsibilities, monitoring and summarizing progress of project and preparing project reports for senior leaders. You will coordinate across functional domains and with Government staff to fulfill mission needs. This position will also require the identification of organizational risks and management of risk mitigation strategies. You will also be responsible for creating efficiencies and process improvements aimed towards solving any potential turn backs and cost challenges. You will support various projects, ranging in scope from strategic, technical, or related to process improvement efforts, utilizing methodologies of CMMI, ESM, and PMP tools and techniques.
Position Requirements And Duties
  • Evaluates cost and schedule variances predicting potential variances and adjusts accordingly
  • Initiates, develops and presents technical reports and white papers as required
  • Coordinates with managers on initiatives, priorities and outreach activities
  • Key contact for direct customer support requirements for designated projects
  • Manages process improvement initiatives to align with long-term organizational strategy
  • Manages distributed teams to ensure goals are accomplished
  • Manages the program budget to ensure no under spending or cost overruns
  • Coordinates, and may lead, technology transfer for projects as assigned
  • Provides collaborative leadership, facilitation and interface among supported clients, vendors and users
  • Serves as project monitor for efforts selected by members of the program
  • Reviews financial analyses with integrated scope, cost and schedule measures to assess performance
  • Participates in project kickoffs and debriefs
  • Implements risk mitigation plan(s) / corrective actions
  • Performs oversight, analysis, management and cost control for projects.
  • Supports the development of annual budget and strategic plan
  • Develops, reviews, negotiates designated project resources and milestones
  • Develops work breakdown structures and statements of work
  • Provides technical expertise to the business unit and technical management of projects
  • Consults with team leadership to develop best practices for organizational processes
Qualifications
  • US Citizen
  • At least five years of progressively responsible experience in a cyber security program, to include management and budget oversight.
  • At least 15 years Project Management Experience, 5 of which should relate to federal agency IT infrastructure.
Preferred Qualifications
  • At least five years of experience with CMMI Maturity Level 3 organizational integration
  • Bachelor of Science in a relevant technical field
  • At least five years of experience with Lean Six Sigma
  • PMP certification
  • At least five years of experience with Enterprise Service delivery and management
Certifications
  • 8570 and CSSP compliant certifications
