Vice President of Finance - KURU Footwear (on-site, Salt Lake City, Utah):

You remain aligned with the big picture and strategic goals as you manage multiple, high-value priorities. Being our Vice President of Finance, you will develop new (and improve on existing) financial strategies to preserve and protect our company assets. Because of your initiative, and the manner in which you are driven to get things done with great finesse, you will excel in owning the financial strategic direction of our organization. You will utilize effective delegation to trusted teammates to achieve desired business results. Your extensive knowledge and background in accounting and finance provides our leadership team with data-based advice on achieving future financial goals. We are KURU Footwear, and we are searching for a results-oriented and self-disciplined Vice President of Finance to oversee the company’s financial function while ensuring accuracy in all financial results and we welcome your application.

What you’ll need to be our Vice President of Finance:

• Ability to divine insights from numbers and financials to uncover opportunities and advise various departments to achieve desired financial outcomes
• Previous experience in a financial department for a company that carries inventory in a high-growth, DTC consumer- facing brand (preferred)
• Several years of progressively responsible financial experience, ideally from an FP&A background
• Results-oriented, innovative and analytical thinking with a drive for change
• Previous public accounting experience is preferred, as we all as extensive knowledge of accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles
• Intense, high standards with a disciplined and reserved personality
• Detail oriented and conservative mindset, with a preference for high quality and technical expertise
• Proficient in NetSuite ERP (preferred)
• Ability to understand the economics of the business and what drives success
• Ability to “connect the dots” and convey insights and opportunities when analyzing large sets of data

What you’ll do as the Vice President of Finance:

• Oversee the financial reporting of the organization to ensure fidelity and actionable insights
• Proactively identify opportunities for improvement in financial efficiencies, cash flow management, and margin to reinvest and grow the company
• Implement the financial discipline to improve cash flow and margin to fund the growth of the business
• Develop reliable, predictable, and robust financial models to advise the CEO on strategic initiatives to achieve future financial goals
• Help prioritize investments to drive the highest ROI
• Manage, mitigate, and reduce legal, insurance, and financial risk
• Oversee the company’s financial function - including GAAP accounting practices, training and development of the finance team, and implementing new and improving existing financial processes
• Own the financial strategic direction of the company within the current DTC model; forecast capital requirements and growth benefits to expanding beyond our current DTC mode
• Identify and execute on cost savings initiatives company-wide
