Located in Greenland, New Hampshire, we are an AAHA-accredited, small animal general practice seeing dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, and pocket pets. We provide services varying from wellness and sick appointments, surgical procedures, dentistry, radiology, ultrasounds, companion laser therapy, in-house laboratory diagnostics, and much more.

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

Our Room Technicians are responsible for thoroughly checking-in and checking-out the client and assuring the best possible client experience. This position is heavily client focused on education and client satisfaction. You will also interact with the pet and make sure the appointment runs with ease and efficiency. You will work directly with the rest of our veterinary team to assure patients and clients receive the best care possible. You will be responsible for handling and processing lab samples, as well as medication preparation and client education.

Must be able to withstand unpleasant odors and noises. May be exposed to bites, scratches, animal waste and potentially contagious diseases.

Qualifications


We’re looking for:

  • Ability to arrive on-time and ready to work
  • Pays attention to detail and is a fast learner
  • Ability to properly set-up and process laboratory samples and tests, preferred but not required
  • Computer skills a must! We are a paperless practice!
  • Exceptional customer service skills and ability to communicate precisely
  • Interpret medical records and record client history accurately
  • Proficient in positioning and capturing radiographs
  • A self-starter with the desire to continue to advance one’s knowledge and skillset
  • Ability to receive in a professional manner constructive feedback to maintain hospital efficiency
  • A high work ethic and positive attitude team member
  • Ability to restrain pets in a low-stress and safe manner
  • Knowledge in preventative care and hospital flow
  • Proficient in sample collection to include blood samples, urine, fecal, and skin

Desired Qualifications:

  • Avimark experience
  • Experience working in an AAHA accredited veterinary hospital
  • A minimum of 1-year experience preferred, CVT/RVT/LVT a bonus
  • Animal handling experience
