Who We Are: A new early stage Sustainability and Climate VC fund based in Silicon Valley to be launched toward the end of 2023. Investment thesis focuses around a) recycling tech specifically addressing e-waste, battery, solar panels and other metal/mineral recovery, b) decarbonization of the industries, and c) sustainability of the supply chain critical minerals. The new firm is led by two GPs with extensive deep-tech VC and operating background having managed $300M+ AUM.

Compensation: This role will be compensated with carried interest (and a percentage of capital raised as a result of LP introductions). This is not a salaried or full-time position.

What We Seek: The Venture Advisors will play a critical role as the extension of the firm and as senior advisors to the GPs on fund raising, throughout investment stages and wherever appropriate, including activities such as:

• Product/Market Validation - voice of customers, product market fit, market landscape
• Network/relationship - facilitating any strategic intros to investors, potential customers to portfolio, industry partners, policy makers
• Regulatory intelligence - international, federal, state and local levels knowledge
• Technical due diligence on key technology areas - carbon capture & removal, supply chain, reverse logistics, waste management, battery and e-waste recycling techniques (x-metallurgical processes, e.g. electro-, pyro-, hydro-)
• Potential direct business advisory activities to portfolio companies
• Deal sourcing in the relevant areas aligned with the firm's thesis

We are looking for multiple individuals to serve on the Venture Advisory group. Once the Fund is launched, the expectation in terms of time spent is 5 to 8 hours a month. There may also be opportunities for Venture Advisors to be more involved with the firm as a Venture Partners.

Who You Are and What You Will Bring:

• Seasoned investment professionals (Venture Debt, Private Equity or Project Financing) in recycling, renewable energy or mineral sectors.
• Senior operating executives with familiarity and relationships in the related recycling and reverse logistics industries - e-waste, battery, solar panel, wind turbine and other areas of metal/critical mineral recovery.
• Experience in raising venture capital financing as LP, GP, or an Angel or similar advisory capacity.
• Technical / product / research expertise in AI, robotics, decarbonization solutions (CDR, CCUS, etc.), x-recycling techniques - mechanical, biological, x-metallurgical processes (hydro-, pyro-, electro-, etc.), as well as water and plastic.
• Highly collaborative, resourceful, pragmatic, extensive diverse relationships and network, problem solver with strong sense of integrity and ethics.
• Policy or regulatory experts familiar with evolving changes in environmental standards and compliance requirement, as well as decarbonization & climate policies (international, federal, state and local) as they relate to the commercialization of first-of-a-kind technologies.
