Job Description

Welcome! ¡Bienvenidos!

At Boys & Girls Clubs of the Peninsula (BGCP), we look for people who share our mission of empowering the youth in our community with equitable access to social, academic, and career opportunities to thrive.

We hope you share our vision of building a world where all youth grow up to lead fulfilling lives fueled by their passions, talents, and a love of learning. We believe in order to achieve this, our staff and volunteers should feel comfortable showing up daily as their full selves—no matter their age, race, ethnicity, or sexual orientation. Only then can we fully embody diversity, inclusion, belonging, and equity.

So be sure to check whether you’re aligned with our values and culture. If you think you can see yourself as part of our BGCP family, we look forward to receiving your application!

VALUES

Our values are more than just words, they're how we live and treat each other at BGCP. We know that organizations with a strong culture perform better in the long run, and our values help us to do just that. Are you aligned with our values? Let’s find out!

Do you…

  • Strive to be inclusive and support others in reaching their goals? (Unity)
  • Wonder why things are, and explore fearlessly? (Curiosity)
  • Honor the community and the diversity within it? (Respect)
  • Elevate the strengths and support the needs of those around you? (Equity)
  • Keep going when things get tough? (Ganas)
  • Take responsibility for your learning and actions? (Ownership)

If so, we’d love to hear from you!

Here’s a little more about BGCP:

Have you ever wanted to work with a nonprofit that has lots of locations, and operates like an entrepreneurial Silicon Valley organization? That’s BGCP. As the largest expanded learning organization in the Peninsula, we are in the business of changing lives. We partner with schools and the community to ensure students from low-income neighborhoods not only graduate from high school but are ready for college and meaningful, life-changing careers.

To date, we have served over 4,000 K-12 students at over 20 sites from East Palo Alto to Menlo Park, Redwood City—and we’re still growing! We have a lot more lives to reach in our community and we hope you will be a part of our journey.
