Ferguson Industrial is currently seeking the right individual to fill an immediate need for a Valve Automation Technician. If you have a love of meeting people and providing great customer service, coupled with an interest in contributing directly to the bottom line of a multi-billion-dollar organization, this is the position for you!


Schedule: Monday - Friday | hours between 7AM- 5PM


Responsibilities


As a Valve and Automation Technician, you will be responsible for the following, including, but not limited to:


  • Follow all established standard operating procedures for valve automation including maintaining a safe and organized workspace and observing necessary safety precautions during assembly, testing, storage and transfer of product
  • Professional interaction with customers when addressing questions and concerns about automated packages.
  • Work closely with inspectors to meet customer demands
  • Courteous interaction and communication with inside and outside sales, management and warehouse personnel
  • Assist with developing automated valve sales training program
  • Follow all proper procedures for set up, use and maintenance of tools and equipment in the Automation center.
  • Ability to troubleshoot automated packages, in house and in the field, to perform necessary work and repairs.
  • Ability to perform functional automated valve testing, record and store data
  • Acting as Production Manager responsible for assembly of all automated packages.


Qualifications


The ideal candidate will possess the following:


  • Excellent communication, time management and organizational skills
  • Be goal oriented, self-motivated, and able to meet deadlines, build relationships and enjoy a team atmosphere.
  • 3 to 5 years experience is preferred but not required
  • Ability to multi-task and meet order deadlines
  • Self-Motivator

  • Ability to learn quickly
  • Ability to read and understand customer technical data and schematics
  • Enthusiastic, courteous, and articulate
  • Basic knowledge of computers
  • Positive attitude
  • Knowledge of shipping, receiving and inventory control

Pay Range


$17.07 - $25.60


Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles.


This role is Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible.
