Job Description
Job Position: UX/UI Intern Qualifications:
  • Proficient user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) design of our various digital assets
  • Demonstrated understanding of clinical informatics systems or clinical data.
  • Familiarity with healthcare, public health, and scientific terminology.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the healthcare industry, clinical roles, and government or private healthcare organizations.
  • Ensure that all elements of the online user experience are optimized for improved usability, usefulness, and exceptional visual design.
  • Must be presently enrolled and in good standing with a graduate or undergraduate degree program with a focus on public health, clinical/health informatics, healthcare standards and interoperability, data science/analytics, health policy, human factors engineering, and/or pursing a clinical degree with course work in informatics, policy, or acquisitions.
Responsibilities:UX/UI
  • Develop and conceptualize a comprehensive UI/UX design strategy for the brand.
  • Closely collaborate across internal teams to solve complex issues like data visualization.
  • Work within brand guidelines to create layouts that reinforce DiscoverU Health brand voice through its visual touchpoints.
  • Implement best practices and innovations for email, social media, mobile, and web.
  • Use UX/UI design skills to refresh DiscoverU Health related websites.
  • Develop creative digital solutions to communication challenges.
  • Produce high-quality UX design solutions through wireframes, visual and graphic designs, flow diagrams, storyboards, site maps, and prototypes.
  • Ensure assets are consistent and compatible across various devices.
  • Preserve the integrity of DiscoverU Health’s brand guidelines by advising staff on best practices for website materials and email design/structure.
  • Investigate user experience design requirements for our suite of digital assets.
  • Juggle multiple projects while effectively managing timelines and expectations.
