Our Fortune 500 client is seeking a Mobile UX/UI Designer to work with (and report to) their Digital Studio Creative Director to drive design for their employee mobile application. In collaboration with other team members, you will build experiences that solve complex interactions elegantly and simply. In this role, you will gather requirements, define the user experience, design the user interface, coordinate with development, and QA, and support refinement and feature additions and UI redesign of the application.

In this role, you will deliver experiences that are measurable and enhance user satisfaction, define a design vision for our users/guests, and make data-driven decisions. Working with internal teams of Product and Development, copywriters, and agency partners, you will work on and execute all design efforts (assets, icons, wireframes, flows, mockups) to evolve the app user experience across Android and iOS. With a team-first mindset, you'll help achieve and ensure the continued success of the app through feedback and criticism from others.

What You Will Do

  • Participate in technology and product discussions with an eye for translating actionable, meaningful feedback into visualizations
  • Design consistent, intuitive user experiences
  • Collaborate on usability testing, pivoting design if/when needed
  • Be forward-thinking while also executing tactical, iterative, and fast-paced production
  • Development and execution of innovative and usable digital experiences anchored by research and data-driven design
  • Work closely with stakeholders in multiple areas to understand user requirements and turn them into wireframes and visual aids that detail the visual features
  • Raise the bar for quality by advocating for user-centered product roadmaps and investments in last-mile refinement and polish
  • Drive knowledge of current trends and inform cross-functional teams of the latest design trends that drive results
  • Collect and analyze KPIs to make informed recommendations for UX/UI
  • Apply a flexible approach to collaboration and agility to examine challenges from multiple perspectives
  • Consistently ask how to drive the best user experience, what can be done better
  • Design the best, broadest solutions that meet the needs of a large heterogenous user base for a frictionless experience
  • Create wireframes, flows, comps, prototypes, and production assets to effectively communicate interaction and design work and validate ideas

Managing Your Work, Projects, and Policies

  • Meet deadlines once agreed upon and report impediments to completing work and meeting deadlines
  • Successfully manage multiple assignments at once through prioritization and requesting clarification if priorities are not clear
  • Provide regular status updates to the manager
  • Provide accurate estimates as to needed time to complete work to feed project plans (and therefore personal deadlines)

Demonstrating and Applying Your Knowledge:

  • Provide subject matter expertise on systems to help shepherd strategic initiatives from idea to feasible implementation
  • Provide detailed IA analysis on complex features, with deliverables including sketches, user flows, and/or use case grids
  • Communicate IA through rapid hand-sketched interfaces and flows where appropriate
  • Provide impact analysis of proposed features, along with recommendations to increase the feasibility and mitigate any negative impacts, with the same potential deliverables as above plus presentations
  • Keep up-to-date technically and applies new knowledge to the job.

What Do You Have to Bring?

  • Portfolio Required: Applicants must have experience with UX and interaction design for mobile apps with a focus on simplicity and ease of use. It is important to explain the design and thought process behind each project.
  • 3+ years of UX/UI Design experience working within cross-functional teams focused on mobile applications or omnichannel digital solutions that include mobile deliverables
  • Expertise working with Figma, Adobe Analytics or similar Analytics software, Adobe Creative Suite

Key Traits You Will Bring:

  • Uses appropriate communication mechanisms (i.e. in-person conversation, Microsoft Teams chat, email, phone call) for each situation
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver results under challenging conditions, taking complexity and breaking it down into understandable chunks, taking ambiguity and bringing it into focus
  • Demonstrates self-confidence, energy, and enthusiasm
  • Relationship building with members of business, product, and IT teams and experience leveraging those relationships to answer questions
  • Presentation of work with clarity and confidence; explains complex matters so that others can understand them
  • Experience in solving problems, thinking logically, and analyzing complex use cases
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, but knows when issues should be escalated to the manager
