UI Designer (Visual Designer) – Web and Mobile Applications

Prosoft is seeking qualified candidates for a UI Designer position with our client in Louisville, Kentucky.

• This position is open to local, or U.S.-based remote candidates able to work an Eastern or Central Time Zone schedule
• This role is not open to C2C candidates
• This is a full-time, long-term contract position with no end date, with the ability to convert to a permanent role at the client

Description

The UI Designer brings digital solutions and products to life by contributing to the design of various web and mobile applications. As a Fortune 100 company, our client’s web and mobile applications average hundreds of thousands of daily active users across the U.S. The UI Designer will work as part of an Agile development team to design new interfaces and enhance existing interfaces that support the organization’s brand identity and image.

Position Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with UX Designers, copywriters, digital strategists, and software developers to create new designs and support existing digital design standards as part of a digital delivery team
• Develop and design visual concepts for web and mobile applications and other consumer interfaces
• Create visual concepts that are consistent with company branding and design practices
• Design the look and feel for User Interfaces across a variety of web and mobile applications
• Serve as a UI / Visual Design subject matter expert for business and IT stakeholders

Required Skills and Abilities include:

• Experience working with tools like Figma and Axure
• Understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript related to design practices
• Strong understanding of visual design principles, interface design, and UX design
• Knowledge of web and mobile design and usability
• Experience creating and developing designs with end-users and consumers in mind
• Advanced experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.)
• 3+ years of UI Design / digital Visual Design experience
• Experience working in enterprise environments, or highly regulated industries, creating designs that meet compliance and accessibility standards
