US PRODUCT MANAGER SMART ENERGY

GoodWe was founded in 2010 and is one of the top five leading global solar inverter and battery storage manufacturers. Our team at GoodWe US Inc. is growing quickly and we need a sales oriented product manager for North America.

What you will be doing: Manage existing products, lead product launches, collect market intelligence for local product roadmaps and consult customers and the sales team in complex technical problems.

Responsibilities

· Create market and product requirements for new smart energy solutions; communicate directly with HQ.

· Scope of work is in residential solar, storage and commercial C&I space, focus on inverters, batteries and energy management systems.

· Own local product/IT/APP roadmap 5+ years, for smart energy solutions.

· Manage local product launches in alignment with HQ and the local organization.

· Execute product certification programs and DNV bankability reports for large prospects and customers.

· Manage local product portfolio, initiate engineering change requests and follow through until release to market.

· Manage and beta test sites in close collaboration with sales, customers.and HQ R$D.

· Consult customers during the pre-sales phase.

· Build expertise in national and local codes and standards; participate in working groups.

Required experience and competence.

· Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, renewable energy or equivalent. Candidates with Master of Science or PhD degree, in electrical or systems engineering, applied physics, are encouraged to apply.

· Fluent in Mandarin and English.

· At least 3 years of project management experience and able to close.

· 3 years of experience with technical sales and strong interest in presales. Experience in giving technical presentations.

· Experience in interpreting industry standards and codes, such as NEC, UL, IEEE or similar.

· Experience in solar and storage inverters preferred but not a requirement.

· A self-driven working mind set, willing to dig in and solve problems.

· Willing to listen, observe and ask questions.

· We expect an enthusiastic team player, willing to communicate across different departments.

Other

· Based in the Denver area or willing to relocate within 3 months of onboarding.

· Wiling to travel in the US, Canada, and Puerto Rico.

· Must be able to work in the US.

· Must have a valid driver’s license and means of transportation.

· This role reports to the country manager.
