Are you a skilled and compassionate Physician Assistant seeking a rewarding opportunity to provide urgent care services in a rural community? Look no further! We are seeking a dedicated Urgent Care Physician Assistant to join our team in delivering high-quality healthcare services to residents of rural New York State.


Responsibilities:


  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as laboratory work and imaging studies.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation.
  • Diagnose and treat acute and urgent medical conditions within the scope of practice.
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments and evaluations, including medical history review and physical examinations.
  • Prescribe appropriate medications and treatments, adhering to established guidelines and protocols.
  • Educate patients and their families about treatment plans, medications, and preventive measures.
  • Perform minor procedures, including wound care, suturing, splinting, and abscess drainage.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.


Qualifications:


  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
  • Valid license to practice as a Physician Assistant in the state of New York.
  • Willingness to participate in flexible work schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. 10-hour shifts.
  • Current certification as a Physician Assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
  • Comfortable with a diverse patient population, including pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.
  • Ability to work autonomously and thrive in a fast-paced urgent care setting.
  • Strong clinical skills and the ability to make efficient and accurate diagnoses.
