Summary of the Position

Los Angeles based production company is searching for a Development Associate to work in office full time. The Development Associate will work alongside the development teamhelp facilitate the creation and production oforiginal television showconceptsand formats. The Development Associate’s primary role will be to helpbuild those ideas into visually compelling pitch decks (or other materials as needed)that thoughtfully explain the show’sformat andconvey the desiredaesthetic.

This is a full time position working Monday – Friday in office.

Responsibilities:

• Organize information and write treatments, decks, and loglines for new show ideas
• Research a topic or idea when needed
• Translate treatments into a visually compelling deck
• Pull photos, videos and other materials to help with the production of sizzle reels
• Brainstorm and collaborate with the development team to generate and build upon new ideas across multiple unscripted genres

Qualifications:

• Knowledge and passion for unscripted television
• Other more advanced graphics skills also a plus – including After Effects, InDesign, Illustrator etc.
• Must be well versed in Keynote and/or Powerpoint
• Ability to manage time well when working on multiple projects in different stages
• Basic Photoshop required, advanced Photoshop experience a plus
• Ability to work alongside a team and also work solo on projects
• Previous development experience and knowledge of the process is a strong plus
• Strong writing skills are a huge plus

Pay:

The position’s pay is based on experience and range of relevant skills and will range between $1400 - $1900 a week.
