Job Description
GENERAL SUMMARY: Under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures, provides clerical support for assigned nursing unit or department. In doing so, transcribes physicians’ orders and enters into computer, schedules diagnostic tests and therapies for patients; assembles and maintains patients’ charts, answers telephone and intercom calls; provides routine information and relays calls and messages. The following are general characteristics of this job, although duties may vary by assigned unit or shift.


Location: Edward-Elmhurst Health Corporate Center - Warrenville


Hours: Full-time (6:30am-5:00pm when on campus) (7:30am-6:00pm when working from home)


Required Education And/or Experience


  • High school level of communication and/or math skills prior to hire


Preferred Education And/or Experience


  • Computer training and medical terminology
