Position Summary

The Department of Nuclear Engineering seeks 2 highly motivated undergraduate students to work in Extreme Materials Group. The position will require approximately 20-40 hours of work per week. The candidates will help with various tasks in Lobo Lead Loop, metallurgical sample preparation, mechanical testing, and characterizations. The candidates should have basic nuclear engineering and materials background with a strong desire to learn deeper understanding of materials for nuclear applications.

Preferred Qualifications

Applicants should be self-motivated and have a strong work ethic.

Preference will be given to applicants interested in attending graduate school or working for a lab and who are in search of research experience and letters of recommendation for graduate school or career opportunities following graduation.

  • U.S. Citizenship
