Unarmed Security Officer Jobs

Crane Currency in Alpharetta, GA is seeking a Part-Time Unarmed Security Officer (Monday through Friday from 12pm-6pm). The selected candidate will play a critical role, protecting Associates from both inside and outside threats, as well as ensuring appropriate controls to protect secure materials, intellectual property and trade secrets.

The Unarmed Security Officer is responsible for :

• Facility Security & Asset Protection

• Conduct people, container and vehicle searches
• Monitor access control, intrusion detection and surveillance systems and investigate unusual activity
• Process access control requests and issue access badges
• Vet and escort visitors to the facility
• Assist Shipping Department with pick up and deliveries
• Inspect outgoing parcels and track receipt of secure material
• Conduct security equipment testing
• Other duties as assigned

• Observation and Reporting

• Complete interior and exterior visual patrols and report any vulnerabilities, potential hazards, unusual findings, or ideas for improvements
• Complete assessments and audits
• Incident reporting of unusual activity and investigative outcome
• Complete log of daily activity to document routine actions

• Communication & Training

• Assist with conducting red team exercises as needed
• Answer main telephone line and route calls as needed
• Enforce all safety and security policies and procedures and report violations

• Emergency Response

• Provide basic medical care
• Facilitate access for Emergency Responders in the event of an emergency

Qualifications:

• Applicants must be U.S. Citizens and will need to demonstrate Suitability for employment in a Position of Public Trust consistent with our U.S. Government contract requirements
• Strong conflict management and conflict resolutions skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Ability to obtain and maintain Basic 1st Aid/CPR/AED certification
• High energy with ability to prioritize and multi-task
• Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills
• Basic computer skills; knowledge of CCTV, premise alarm protection, and access control systems preferred
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to display confidence and be adaptive in a rapidly changing environment
• One-year experience in armed security, military or law enforcement, or an Associate’s Degree or higher in Criminal Justice or related field
