Ultrasonographer – Nurse Midwife Care
Fast-paced, high volume Family Care department is looking for top skilled Nurse Midwife Care
**Sign-On for Eligible New Hires**
Work location: 1300 West Terrell, Fort Worth, TX 76104
Work hours: Full-time, 40 hours weekly, Monday thru Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm

Texas Health Physicians Group (THPG) is a not-for-profit physician organization with more than 250 locations and 800 physicians, nurse practitioners and physician assistants dedicated to providing quality care in clinics and medical offices throughout North Texas.

Here’s What You Need
  • 2 Years Related experience (required)
  • OB/GYN experience (strongly preferred)
  • Other Completion of the requirements to be certified by RDMS (required)
  • Associates Degree Ultrasound Technology Graduate of accredited Ultrasound Technology program (required)
  • ARDMS - American Registry for Diagnostic and Medical Sonographers Upon Hire (required)
A successful Ultrasonographer will
  • Ability to identify what is expected to be seen in all three trimesters of pregnancy
  • Appropriate measurement techniques in transabdominal and endovaginal scanning
  • Be Familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures within field.
  • Normal and abnormal pelvic anatomy
  • Must be comfortable verbally explaining all techniques and views to physician and patient
  • Specific to OB/GYN: Must have experience doing gynecological and obstetrical sonograms to include the following:
    • Normal and abnormal pelvic anatomy
    • Fetal anatomy and biophysical profile
    • Fetal anomalies, including ectopic pregnancies
    • Appropriate measurement techniques in transabdominal and endovaginal scanning
    • Ability to identify what is expected to be seen in all three trimesters of pregnancy
    • Must be comfortable verbally explaining all techniques and views to physician and patient
  • Fetal anomalies, including ectopic pregnancies
  • Possesses a strong work ethic and a high level of professionalism.
  • Fetal anatomy and biophysical profile
What You Will Do
Delivers care to patients utilizing the Ultrasonographer Process
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Properly records test results.
  • May schedule and coordinate tests.
  • Performs diagnostic sonographic examinations utilizing ultrasonic equipment to locate, evaluate and record critical functional, pathological and anatomical data.
  • Operates, cares for, and maintains equipment. Prepares and maintains operational logs and documents malfunction as needed.
  • Maintains equipment and room to sanitary standards. Stocks and orders supplies as needed.
  • Prepares room for examination, greets patients and educates patients on procedural information as needed.
  • Processes and manipulates images, analyzes image quality and troubleshoots as needed.
