POSITION SCOPE

Truck and Trailer Mechanics will perform routine maintenance as well as minor and major repairs on all the equipment in the rolling stock fleet. They will be responsible for examining the equipment when it is in for scheduled service to determine additional service needs. MUST BE WILLING TO TRAVEL OUT OF TOWN FOR MULTIPLE SHIFTS WHEN NEEDED.

PRIMARY DUTIES

• Able to work on misc. small tools and special projects in main shop
• Maintain an orderly work area.
• Document and discuss with supervisor any major repairs that are discovered.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Mechanics are expected to supply personal tools
• Willing to expand into White Paving Equipment when needed no experience necessary will train the right candidate.
• May need to attend additional training sessions with different equipment manufacturers.
• Perform major repairs when needed to equipment.
• Perform regular scheduled service to all equipment.
• Document all service work done to equipment.

11.Willing to do any and all other projects requested by Supervisor

BACKGROUND

• Specializes In Peterbilt/Paccar Diagnose and Repairs Brakes, Electrical, etc
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Mechanical schooling preferred but will do additional training.
• Experience with Heavy Haul/Flatbed Trailers Repairs, Brakes, Electrical, etc.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in related field
