Job Description
The Enterprise Treasurer is responsible for managing the company's financial assets and liabilities. The role oversees the following areas: Treasury Operations: Cash and debt management Financing: Obtain, administer, and monitor the necessary financing to support the company’s operations and strategic vision Risk Management: Foreign exchange, commodity, and interest risk management through hedging programs, and insurance risk management Leasing and Real Estate Management In managing these areas, the incumbent must appropriately assess, mitigate and monitor risk when business decisions are made, safeguard company assets by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to company policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively monitoring the activity of others and ensuring accountability within the Enterprise. Primary Responsibilities Treasury Operations. Oversees all aspects of treasury operations Manage the company's cash flow and liquidity, ensuring that the company always has sufficient funds to meet its obligations. Monitor and manage the company's debt portfolio, including interest rate and currency risks. Develop and implement a foreign exchange risk management strategy to mitigate the impact of currency fluctuations on the company's financials. Oversee the company's investment portfolio, ensuring that it is diversified and aligned with the company's risk appetite and investment objectives. Work closely with the executive team to develop and execute the company's financial strategy, providing insights and recommendations to support decision-making. Manage relationships with banks, investment managers, and other financial service providers. Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and reporting requirements. Risk Management. Manage Company risk through Obtaining all necessary insurance and managing the Company’s captive insurance entity. Develop and maintain enterprise risk management model. Real Estate Management. Supports the development of long-term Apogee plans and strategies as well as short-term tactical real estate strategies for the Enterprise to optimize portfolio utilization. Acquisition, disposition and restructuring of Apogee Real Estate interests. Responsible for performing financial analysis of real estate alternatives to senior management in making informed decisions in the best interest of shareholders. Perform real estate analysis and feasibility study from a cash flow and earnings perspective and integrate them with market research and outlook. Work with preferred real estate brokers in the collection of market data. Deliver accurate and timely reports to regional and/or division management. Education & Experience Required: Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related area of study. At least 7 years of experience in treasury or a related field in a publicly traded company. Experience managing a global hedging program. Experience developing and maintaining relationships with banking partners. Strong knowledge of financial instruments, markets, and regulations. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team; and consultant and influence a senior leadership team. Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
