PCA (Philadelphia Children's Alliance) is an independent non-profit organization, called a Child Advocacy Center, that promotes healing and justice for sexually abused children in Philadelphia. We provide youth a co-located child-friendly location to be interviewed by trained forensic experts, supported by victim advocates, receive medical examinations, and attend counseling services while liaise with law enforcement and DHS. When you visit our office, you will find a vibrant, friendly, and safe environment for kids with a staff that is warm, passionate, and dedicated to providing high quality services to our families.


PCA is seeking an experienced trauma clinician to provide outpatient mental health services to youth who have experienced sexual abuse and other significant traumas. You will be part of a cohesive, supportive team providing evidence-based interventions to youth and their caregivers to help them build a foundation of safety, manage symptoms, and resolve past traumas. All therapists have access to their own well-supplied office to see clients as well as necessary clinical trainings to support professional skill and growth.


This is a full-time hybrid position working 5 days a week (weekdays), including some evenings. Clinicians must come into the office a minimum of 2 days a week (but can be more). Additionally, this position requires one to be available for a total of 8 evening hours (post-5pm) that can be scheduled throughout the week: E.g. Two 1-9p evening shifts, or, can split it up a throughout the week.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct clinical services at PCA including phone screening, assessment, treatment planning, and individual, family, and group therapy to children who are victims of sexual abuse
  • Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team including victim advocates, forensic interviewers, police, and DHS as appropriate to provide the best service to our clients
  • Maintain all required documentation of clinical work
  • Utilize evidence-based treatment models (such as TF-CBT) in sessions

Requirements:

  • Eligible for PA clinical license (LSW, LCSW, or LPC) required, current license preferred
  • Minimum 2 years experience providing therapy to children and trauma survivors
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • TF-CBT training preferred
  • Master’s degree in Clinical Counseling, Social Work or related mental health field

Salary: $55,000.00 - $57,000.00 per year
