Transportation Coordinator - Driver

DonorConnect is looking for a full-time Transportation Coordinator/Driver to add to our team. This position is perfect if you are a natural delegator, can work well both independently and with a team, have background in driving/courier experience, have great attention to detail skills, and can potentially work a variety of different shifts

Working as a Transportation Coordinator for DonorConnect you will be vital to our mission. You will be responsible for working closely with on-call organ and tissue donation coordinators providing necessary transportation services which include transporting organ personnel, biological samples, and supplies. You will maintain TSA registration; driver's license and other licenses/certifications as necessary. Perform fleet maintenance. Minimum Qualifications

• Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.

Training/Education/Certification

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Chauffeur's license required within 90 days of employment

Experience Required

• Previous courier experience preferred
• Positions with high levels of interpersonal interaction and communication
• Excellent driving record
• Minimum 5 years of routine driving experience

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

• Defensive driving skills
• Ability to reason logically and make sound decisions, to consider alternative and diverse perspectives, to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
• Attention to detail
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
• Awareness of fastest routes to hospitals, labs, and airports
• Exposure to patient elements including communicable diseases, bloodborne pathogens, and other common hazards of a clinical setting
• Awareness of types of transportation needs for DonorConnect tissue and organ cases
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
• Ability to stoop, squat, or bend frequently
