POSITION SCOPE: The Transportation Assistant will enjoy a high volume and fast paced work environment. The primary responsibilities of this role include administrative tasks assisting the Transportation Director and truck drivers within the transportation department. Filing time sensitive reports is also included as a primary responsibility. PRIMARY DUTIES: Compile weekly company transportation reports File quarterly & annual federal and state tax reports relating to transportation Maintain fuel & mileage reports as required for federal & state tax reporting and for Prorate and IFTA fleets Maintain License and Title Information for the Southwest Transportation Department Payroll: Verify and code time cards for the AZ Transportation Department Complete all billing for Belly Dumps, End Dumps, and Heavy Haul Assist in Accounts Payable duties for Subhaulers Submit monthly fuel allocation reports Code receipts, verify and reconcile monthly credit card statements Other duties as assigned BACKGROUND: Knowledge in Federal DOT and FMCSA Regulations regarding hours of service, fuel & mileage reports, IFTA tax reports is preferred, but not required Detailed oriented & accurate with numbers and reports Self-motivated & organized - prioritize work load Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office - Word & Excel Manage confidential information Ability to navigate state and federal websites Communicate orally and in writing Work well with others 1-3 years of experience is preferred, but not required Fisher Industries is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer and an Equal Opportunity Employer of Individuals with Disabilities and Protected Veterans.
