Position Overview

The Division of Family and Community Services is seeking to hire a coordinator to oversee Training and Support Services for the Bureau of Training and Support Services. This position organizes, plans, executes, controls, and evaluates the development of training curriculum, materials, strategies, and programs using best practices to help Family and Community Services (FCS) achieve its mission through training; serves as Special Request Training Coordinator; conducts research and analysis of best practices of managing employees and effective tools to assess successes and challenges; and serves as liaison with the Department of Human Services (DHS) Bureau of Staff Development and Innovation (BSDI) to disseminate information on trainings.

Job Responsibilities

  • Serves as Special Request Training Coordinator.
  • Conducts research and analysis of best practices of managing employees and effective tools to assess successes and challenges.
  • Serves as liaison with the DHS Bureau of Staff Development and Innovation (BSDI) to disseminate information on trainings.
  • Serves as the Bureau of Training and Support Services Coordinator.
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Requires two (2) years of responsible administrative experience in a public or business organization.
  • Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of four (4) years of college, preferably with courses in business or public administration.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Two (2) years of professional experience researching and implementing options and updates for training formats including technology, accommodations, web-based training, remote learning etc. to ensure availability, learning capabilities and accessibility of training for all audiences.
  • Two (2) years of professional experience in the development of curriculum, coordination, implementation, and evaluation of employee development training and training programs.
  • Two (2) years of professional experience in researching and reviewing program concerns and reports such as audit findings, quality assurance reviews, case management reports, and federal and state outcome measures to develop and implement targeted program specific training to support a public or private organizations goals and objectives.
  • One (1) year of professional experience utilizing computer software, including but not limited to Microsoft Suite and other special software for developing reports, training evaluations, presentations and accessible we b-based training, remote learning capabilities, and on-line training for various audiences.
  • One (1) year of professional experience utilizing Federal and State requirements in the development of employment training.
  • One (1) year of professional experience communicating effectively, orally and in writing, with small and large internal and external audiences.

Conditions of Employment

  • Requires intermediate proficiency of Microsoft Office Suite 365 (e.g., Word, Excel, SharePoint, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, Publisher, Visio, and Teams.
  • Requires ability to travel with overnight stays.
